BAMS का full form Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery है। यह Ayurveda में undergraduate professional degree programme है। NCISM के अनुसार BAMS programme का उद्देश्य ऐसे graduates तैयार करना है जिन्हें Ashtanga Ayurveda, contemporary developments और modern science/technology की आवश्यक समझ के साथ healthcare services के लिए प्रशिक्षित किया जाए।
BAMS क्या है?
BAMS यानी Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery भारत में Ayurveda की professional education के लिए प्रमुख undergraduate course है।
इस course में विद्यार्थियों को Ayurveda के fundamental principles, Ayurvedic diagnosis और treatment approaches के साथ practical और clinical training दी जाती है।

BAMS Course Duration
NCISM के current regulations के अनुसार Ayurveda graduate को 4½ years की study/training और 1 year compulsory rotatory internship पूरी करनी होती है। यानी कुल अवधि लगभग 5½ years होती है।

BAMS Eligibility
BAMS में admission के लिए सामान्यतः candidate को:
- 10+2 या equivalent examination पास होना चाहिए।
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology और English subjects होने चाहिए।
- Qualifying marks admission rules के अनुसार पूरे करने होते हैं।
- Admission के वर्ष की निर्धारित date तक minimum age requirement पूरी होनी चाहिए।
NEET-UG 2025 के official bulletin में BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS के लिए Physics, Chemistry, Biology और English के साथ qualifying examination तथा General category के लिए PCB में 50% और SC/ST/OBC candidates के लिए 40% marks का उल्लेख किया गया था।

BAMS में Admission कैसे होता है?
BAMS admission की सामान्य प्रक्रिया:
12th PCB → NEET-UG → NEET Rank → AYUSH Counselling → College Allotment → Admission
NTA की official NEET-UG 2026 information के अनुसार BAMS में admission के लिए NEET-UG एक uniform national entrance examination है।
